How Cricket looks to America?
No, this is not the cricket I am talking about Americans. I am talking about the worlds 2nd most popular game cricket.
Explaining cricket, the world's second-most common sport, to Americans
American baseball's attraction puzzles many Americans who have built a taste for fast-paced action sports such as American football, professional basketball, and hockey. But baseball remains a common watch-and-play sport. However, American baseball may seem odd and repetitive for many tourists coming from places where cricket dominates. Explaining cricket to a foreigner is a hard job.
A suitable time for this reminder of cricket rules:
You've got two sides, one in the field, one out and one in.
Every man who's on the side that's in goes out and comes in when he's out, and the next man goes in when he's out.
The side that outcomes in when they're all out, and the side that's been in goes out and tries to catch those that come in.
You still have men in occasionally and not out.
The men who are out trying to get him out when a man goes out and goes in, and when he's out, he goes in, and the next man goes out and goes in.
Two men remain out all the time, named umpires, and they decide when the men who are in are out.
If both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and after all the men have been in, including some not out, both sides have been out twice, that's the end of the game!
Cricket is played by two teams, each with 11 players. Each squad, as in baseball, takes turns to bat and playing the field. In cricket, a batsman is a batter, and a bowler is a pitcher. The bowler is attempting to knock the bail off the wicket. By hitting the ball, a batsman attempts to keep the bowler from hitting the wicket. At the same time, two batsmen are on the ground.

The pitch
The pitch is basically 22 yards. Clay material is properly the first constituent part to be taken into account when choosing a cricket loam. Usually, a cricket loam's clay content accounts for about 25-35% of the loam material. Still, it provides many of the most important characteristics needed for the performance of the cricket pitch.
SCORING
After the ball is struck, the batters will run. Every time they change positions on the pitch, a run is scored. The team with the highest number of runs wins the match (typically in the hundreds).
• 6 runs: A ball struck on a fly from the field.
4 runs: A ball struck on a bounce outside the ground.

4.Leg before wicket: The body of Batsman interferes with a bowled ball that would hit the wicket
5.Stumped: Stumping is a way of dismissing a batsman in cricket, which involves the wicket-keeper taking down the wicket while the batsman is out of his ground
6.Hit wicket: When the batsman hits the wicket with his own bat.
7.Timed out: If the batsman does not come to bat after a certain period of time has passed by.
8.Handling the ball: Handling the ball was formerly one of the ways of dismissing a batter in cricket but was integrated into the Law on obstructing the field when the Laws of Cricket were rewritten in 2017.
9.Obstructing the field: Obstructing the field is the method of dismissing a batsman in cricket. Either batsman can be given out if he wilfully attempts to obstruct or distract the fielding side by word or action.
